Consumer Advisory Board
The mission of the Consumer Advisory Board (CAB) is to advocate for consumers and provide for strong public and consumer input in healthcare reform policies in Connecticut. The purpose of the Consumer Advisory Board is to ensure significant consumer participation in the planning and implementation process.
- Provide advice and guidance to the Healthcare Innovation Steering Committee and Program Management Office
- Arrange for and support consumer representation on each of the taskforces and councils
- Recommend and participate in consumer engagement activities
- Review and consider consumer and advocate input
The CAB will solicit input from the broader consumer community on an ongoing basis.

The SIM Program Management Office releases Issue Briefs designed to frame discussions on innovation elements that need further development. The feedback received from these briefs will inform the application for funding that Connecticut will submit under the State Innovation Model Testing Grant.
